Tagging Channels
Learn about how to tag channels with their special codes in email
Rather than send an email into TransitChat and then have to manually assign a Route to the Conversation, you can use an Intelligent Tag in the subject or the body of the email. Routes are tagged with the “@” symbol. Let’s say you are starting a Conversation in email about a Scheduling topic and want to ensure it’s tagged as such:
- In Email, simply add “@scheduling” to the subject and/or body of the email, note that “@scheduling” is in the body of this email, please note that the Intelligent Tag is case sensitive:
- Once you return to the Inbox in TransitChat, you will now see that your message has been tagged with the “Scheduling” tag:
- You can still add or remove tags per usual
