Tagging Routes

Learn about how to tag routes with their special codes in email

Tagging Routes is the same process as Channels. Routes are tagged with the exclamation mark “!”. As another example, let’s say you wanted to start a conversation that includes the “12th Street” route and ensure its tagged as such:

  1. In the email simply add the default tag, in this case “!12thst” to the subject and/or body of the email. In this case the tag is in the body of the email as shown below. Again, be aware that these tags are case sensitive:
  2. The email is ingested into TransitChat and is now automatically tagged with the “12th Street” Route!:
  3. You can still add or remove tags per usual
